Based in Helsinki, Finland, 2 Sides Consulting provides both startups and established companies with a range of services covering technology and market studies, service and software architecture planning, implementation and integration project management, product evaluations and choices, supplier and partner audits and overall ICT strategy work, to name a few.

The founder of 2 Sides Consulting, Tapio Äijälä, has over 10 years of experience in the mobile entertainment industry. In the late 1990s he co-founded Small Planet, a company that today is an international provider of software platforms for mobile marketplace management and mobile social networking services. As the Chief Technology Officer of Small Planet Tapio was involved in all aspects of building a successful software product company with customers on five continents.

Prior to Small Planet Tapio gathered experience in software and internet business with Tietovalta, the first Finnish new media company and with Tietosavo, a large software and IT services provider for the energy industry. His first company Tapio co-founded in 1997. During the years he has gained extensive skills in everything related to building and selling software products and services: Planning, designing, development, testing, launching, marketing, deployment, versioning, productization, defining and developing processes... Tapio holds a M.Sc. (Computer Science) from University of Helsinki and a M.Sc. (Economics) from Helsinki School of Economics.

Tapio will typically get involved as a consultant, analyst or interim project / product manager but some times also as a board / advisory board member. Engagements can range from short projects taking only a couple of days to longer projects encompassing several months or even years. Although currently based in Helsinki, Tapio is interested in projects taking place in other regions as well and he is also able to relocate temporarily, if required.
